The CornerStone Campaign (CSC) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization founded in 2002 to address issues associated with the use of biotechnology in agriculture. CSC is an outgrowth of the “The Genetically Engineered Food Collaboration,” housed from 1988 to 2002 at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. A gift to the CSC will go to support its continuing and expanding projects on agricultural biotechnology: on issues of unsound science, on national and international policy maker education, media outreach, support for farmers, promotion of food literacy, legal actions, grass roots organizing, and strategic planning.
